Hi,
I'm using Oracle Forms 10g (10.1.2.0.2) and I bought FormsTool v2(237).
The problem is that I compared 2 forms together and I changed one line in a form.
I saved that form and I try a new compare with thoses forms.
FormsTool show me that there is differences in many objets for properties
like : Graphic Object Font Name, Graphic Object Font Size.
I never changed thoses properties but FormsTool says yes.
It seems to appear just in Canvases sections.
Could you please give me a fast answer for that ?
It will be very appreciate.
Thanks a lot,

All the best,
André |

Can you send me those two modules you compare as a test case to support@orcl-toolbox.com ? Seeing that all the phantom changes are font related leads me to the assumption that it might have something to do with the fact that the font in the original file isn't available on your computer and hence the change. Do you get the same problem if you apply that small change from within FormsBuilder rather then through FormsTool ?
Regards,
Stefan |

Hi Stefan,
I have tried what you told me as : Do you get the same problem if you apply that small change from within FormsBuilder rather then through FormsTool ?
The probleme doesn't appeared. So that's why I think the problem is in FormsTool.
When I go to FormsBuilder 10g on that object, I didn't see properties text like Graphic Object Font Name, Graphic Object Font Size. Do you know where to find them on FormsBuilder ?
Thanks

"Graphic *" properties should only apply to boilerplate objects ... Text and Frame graphic objects have those font properties and usually you can only see and change them if you open the canvas with those boilerplates on them and use the font-formatting toolbar on the canvas editor.
Can you please email me those two modules and a screenshot of your compare output? Regards,
Stefan |

Was there a resolution to this issue? I am using a trial version of FormsTool v3.0 (beta), and have run across a similar situation. I make the only changes from the form on the right, and apply them to the form on the left, then save the form on the left. I exit formsTool, and re-enter Developer Compare, expecting to see no changes (the forms should be the same), but instead see a lot of other changes to templates, and canvases, etc., however the changes that I moved over, don't show up, which is what I was expecting, but the other stuff does.

If I were to purchase FormsTool V3.0, is it available, and would it have build 326?
What would I need to do, to purchase the version with this build?

It looks like you can only purchase V2.0, does it incorporate build 326? If not, when do you anticipate v3.0 and build 326 being available for purchase?

All our licenses are good for 2 years and are independent of any version number or labeling. If you buy now the license will unlock V2.0 as well as V3.0 .... and maybe even V4.0, if that version will be release within that 2 years.
